Magnolia Haus Dachshunds

    We are a dachshund loving family and have been for over 40 years.  I was just a kid when this all began. I got my first smooth coat red dachshund, Annie, and she would be with me for the next 17 years. It took me several years later before I was able to get another dachshund, Nola Grace. "Ms. Nola" came into our family 17 years ago and introduced us to the long-haired dachshund and started our family's love of the long-haired dachshund. Nola also inspired us to share our passion for dachshunds with others. In addition, we became "failed fosters," after rescuing several dachshunds over the years because we couldn't let them go. 

    We then discovered the piebald dachshund, and it was love at first sight. We were won over by their independent, spirited personalities.  They can be cuddly and affectionate one moment then off to do their own thing the next. This opened us up to other dachshund including the cream dachshunds which also made an impact on us. This breed seems to have a calmer demeaner.   

    We are not fulltime breeders; rather, we are breeding for the opportunity to better the breed. We have a desire to show our dachshunds in AKC events and dog shows.  Our love for the dachshund breed will be for a lifetime, but our breeding time will be short. Our dogs are our family and the overall health and wellbeing of each one is paramount. Our dams and sires are part of our family even after breeding.
